Associate and Senior Project Manager Roles at Park Lane Projects, Inc. a Construction Project Management Consultancy based in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-end Construction projects from conception to completion
  • Manage/train Junior Project Manager/Project Coordinator
  • Working with clients from initiation to ensure understanding of project scope and vision
  • Oversee each turn-key project, including details such as permit submission and design evaluations
  • Coordinate, plan and manage schedules.
  • Review work progress on a daily basis
  • Collaborate with consultants and construction team to ensure project feasibility
  • Conduct regular project meetings
  • Prepare regular internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Build solid relationships with team members, vendors and customers and Clients.
  • Manage Project Budgets and Invoicing.
  • Process change orders

Requirements:

  • Degree Qualified – within a construction related discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years construction management experience
  • Experienced in Procurement delivery
  • Experience managing people and training junior staff as well as multiple projects

  • Ability to read construction drawings and plan sets
  • Understanding of risk management policies and procedures
  • Extensive experience managing budgets for large construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment

Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in day-to-day operations of projects
  • Assist in developing budgets & RFP’s
  • Assist with administrative aspects of client projects
  • Assist with business correspondence, agendas, proposals, meeting notes, project filing, new project setup.
  • Assist in preparing project monthly invoice recommendations, General Contractor pay-apps and budget updates
  • Provide Administrative support to the Project Management Team
  • Preparing and distributing Project Billing/Invoice Protocols, project directories etc.
  • Attend client meetings representing the company
  • Calendar maintenance, meeting/event coordination, answering phone, emailing, filing, expense reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have at least 3 years construction managing experience/knowledge
  • Significant experience working with MS Office – Must have excellent proficiency with Excel
  • Strong verbal and written business communication skills (absolute requirement)
  • Desire and ability to problem-solve, both individually and as part of a project team
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team

  • Support day-to-day operations of the projects, developing budgets & RFP’s

  • Preparing and distributing Project Invoice Protocols and ensuring that these are followed by all.
  • Manage Project Billing mailbox for all projects
  • Manage accounts payable for all projects
  • Attend client meetings representing the company
  • Act as a point of contact for all Project billing and admin
  • Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
    Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience, must have experience executing invoices/reports/document controlling
  • Significant experience working with MS Office – Must have excellent proficiency with Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written business communication skills (absolute requirement)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Individually motivated
  • Solid organization and time-management skills
  • Experience in construction industry desired but not required
  • Attention to detail
  • Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.
