Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage high-end Construction projects from conception to completion
- Working with clients from initiation to ensure understanding of project scope and vision-Oversee each turn-key project, including details such as permit submission and design evaluations
- Coordinate, plan and manage schedules
- Review work progress on a daily basis-Process change orders
- Collaborate with consultants and construction team to ensure project feasibility
- Conduct regular project meetings
- Prepare regular internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors-Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Build solid relationships with team members, vendors and customers.
Requirements:
- Degree Qualified – within a construction related discipline
- Chartership status
- 5+ years suitable experience on construction projects
- Experienced in Procurement delivery
- Experience working in a client focused environment
- Ability to take personal responsibility in dealing with clients and others while striving to exceed their expectations
- Good Presentation Skills
- Excellent time-management skills
- Hard working, problem solving, decision-making
- Ability to read drawings and plan sets-Understanding of risk management policies and procedures
- Extensive experience managing budgets for large construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment-Experience managing multiple projects
- Familiarity with construction management software packages
- Leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail-Self-motivated and self-directed
- Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office-Knowledge of local, state and federal building code regulations
